After material selection and before production process, pre-forming needs to be done in the manufacturing of sealing element.
The elastomeric material (NBR, VMQ, FKM, EPDM etc.) which is chosen as the main material is mixed with various aiding materials (like vulcanization chemicals, protective agents, fillers, softeners and resins, process fasteners) and the material which has desired properties is obtained. Mostly, mixer type cylindrical blender machines are used in these processes.
The material that passed pre-shaping stage is sent to laboratory and when it is approved the next stage will be gone.
The material, which is approved, is shaped most efficient and suitable form during the pre-forming, for the operator/worker that uses the press machine. Like the others, various pre-forming machines are used in that stage.
